Sage Concepts LLC is a design/build firm created by Adam Sage Pittman through his passion for innovative architectural design, green building, and sustainable urban development. Owned and operated by his father Greg Pittman, and uncle Howard Lerner, their strengths and experience have grown Sage Concepts LLC to be one of Asheville’s premier green builders and designers of trend-setting homes.

Jack-of-all-trades and master of many, Howard Lerner’s multi-faceted experience in the field of custom building has inspired Sage Concepts to achieve a high level of quality and attention to detail. His trouble-shooting capabilities and analytical personality allows the company to continue to push the envelope with cutting edge materials and methods while developing systems for efficient project management.
Greg Pittman- Chief Operations Officer
Greg Pittman's many years of corporate upper level management experience is directly applicable to his position as chief operations officer. Greg oversees the financial management and coordination of all aspects of Sage Concepts LLC. Doing whatever it takes to keep things moving, Greg splits his time between project management and office management, always looking forward to getting his hands dirty.
Adam Sage Pittman- Designer
Through years of experience in different aspects of: design, development, construction, finance, sales, and real estate investment, Adam’s heart still belongs to art and design. He derives inspiration from his frequent travels abroad bringing back concepts that he integrates into design of the homes. His belief that each site requires a unique structure has challenged him to create dwellings in which form follows function.
